The Fault In Our Stars//Book Review

Rating: 5/5
Genre: Fiction, Young Adult

‘The Fault In Our Stars’ is a classic John Green book that revolves around Hazel Grace Lancaster, a terminally sick lung cancer patient. She spends her free time reading ‘An Imperial Affliction’ over and over again. One of her only dreams in life is to meet Peter Van Houten, the author of AIA who lives in Amsterdam and refuses to answer her emails and letters.

Her parents force her to attend the Cancer Support Group, where she meets Augustus Waters, an Osteosarcoma survivor. They fall in love with each other. Augustus loves Hazel and decides to use his only Wish to take Hazel to Amsterdam. This is a horrible summary of the first half of the book and, since I do not want to give any spoilers, you will have read the book to know what happens next.

John Green has a distinctive writing style, which has a reader hooked to every word, even though he writes exceedingly plainly, without any heavy or fat words.
The book is a heart-wrenching piece of literature that portrays the ultimate truth about love and life. Personally, I believe that every girl deserves to have an Augustus in her life.

What are you thoughts about the book?
